Director’s Statement

Thitipan Raksasat

The plot was inspired by learning about relationships from family and friends.  Then I realized that we all have issues when it comes to a relationship.  When we allow desire and lust to take control our life, we can’t trust anyone, even ourselves.  Some life crisis becomes a test that lets us learn in a hard way and see ourselves and others in both brighter and darker side.  A driver is a simple symbol because when you get in a car and become a passenger, you have no other choice but trust your driver.  Driver is a Thai film that shot in 7 days within 100,000 USD budget using Alexa camera.  I hope to have more budget and time to create, produce and make new films in the future, maybe 2 films a year.
